Dear Witchards,
This post was supposed to start completely different, it was already typed out and ready to go.
We were ready and everything was set to announce the new date and location for the second attempt at Run 1 of Thalenberg – Institute of the Lost, which we had worked really hard for the last months. But sadly, as it is often the case, reality and life caught up with us and dragged us back out of the magical world.
Due to external circumstances two members of our 4 person core team had to resign from working on the project. Additionally, as part of a small team in a larger organization not everything was in our hands, sometimes things sadly took longer or developed very differently from what we originally anticipated, which added to an overall exhaustion as the months went by.
For the few remaining members the project is at the current point not possible to bring to fruition as we would’ve wanted. Building a new team takes time, energy and also a lot of trust, next to the emotional connection the project has to the original team, who put a lot of love and care into the world and design of Thalenberg.
This makes it even harder to put the project down, but we prefer to be honest with you and ourselves and want to formulate a clear cancellation instead of going silent any longer or stewing up hopes that we currently can’t fulfill.
Maybe with time we can pick the project back up or bring its ideas to life in a different form. With the original team restored or with a brand new one. Thalenberg is not the Institute of the Lost for nothing after all. But we do not want or can make any promises at this point.
We hope, despite the sad news, that the little glimpses we were able to share with you into the magical world we wanted to build gave you some joy.
